I have seen this idea on so many of your blogs and love the idea of a completely wordless posts. So other than that intro...here it is....

Featured Blogger

This week I want to do double duty with my Featured Blog post. I would like to introduce you to Natalie and her sweet family. Natalie is one of my very best friends, and has one of the cutest blogs on the block!! I especially love the blog that her and her husband wrote this week to their son who just turned 1!! They are an amazing Godly family, and even if you dont know her personally I know you will enjoy reading about her adorable son and the adventures of having a 1 year old! A lot of what I post about my son has been inspired by her previous posts about Hays. I love the idea of recapping where they are each month and how they have grown. Since I have known Natalie she has always been the older, wiser voice of reason in my life. And by older I do mean one month, but hey a month is a month right?!?! :)!!

That brings me to point number 2 of this blog...I owe some happy birthday wishes to some very special people in my life, 2 of whom I have sadly never even met.

Hays Tristan, we have not officially met, but I already love you to pieces. You have the greatest parents around who love and pray for you more than you could ever imagine! Your parents have walked through a lot of life stages with Aaron and I, and I could not be more excited that we have little boys so close in age!! I know you and Eli are going to be great friends one day!! Happy 1st Birthday!!

Lady Lennon, you are a precious gift from the Lord, and I eagerly await the day we get to meet. You have the best mommy in the world and I know that if you got half of her sense of humor, you will be the funniest baby around! PS I have a pretty cute little boy to hook you up with later...that is if you're into dating younger guys! Happy 1st Birthday!Lake, WOW I cannot believe you are already 5 years old. Tell your mommy and daddy they should have never moved from Dallas because now I have missed all this time watching you grow up. When your mom sings your praises I can hardly believe that you are already so old! You have the sweetest heart, and your love for the Lord challenges me. I cannot wait to see how He is going to use you, because its going to be awesome!! Happy 5th birthday!!

I know most parents just put their children in the crib when it is time for a nap, but I miss the lil guy when hes in the other room, so we have taken to him sleeping in the recliner!! Again, the cuteness in undeniable :)!! (is that a mom talkin or what? haha)

Aaron's First Fathers Day...

Unfortunately Aaron had to work today so we celebrated Fathers day a couple of days early. The three of us went to eat at BJs and then hit up Sports Authority to let daddy get a new pair of running shoes. Eli had already gotten daddy a new pair of boots, and of course a car seat base so that they can have boys day out whenever they want!!!

Then today Eli gave daddy his Fathers Day Card and went for his first swim!! He loved it...or at least didnt mind it! Aaron held him while he sat on the first step just looking around without a care in the world! The water was about 94 degrees so it felt like the bath...only he seemed to like the pool much more.

This one is technically a swimsuit cover but I think I could make it a dress with a few tweaks!

The upcoming show...love in the wild...its not even here and already I know I am going to love it. Can we just say cross between survivor and the bachelor, can it get any better??

Advice to the 2011 Graduates

Now that you're older, and have long since graduated high school and college, what would you tell those who were graduating this year? Any sage piece of advice you would like to pass on?

I have thought a lot about this, and have started writing this blog many times, but the truth is I cannot sum it up better than the song "Love Like Crazy" by Lee Brice

Be a best friend,
Tell the truth,
and over use I love you!
and go to work
do your best
dont out smart your common sense
never let your prayin knees get lazy
and love like crazy


So graduates...life is short, and just like your parents have always said, time flies by, so cherish every moment, and most importantly remember you're the strongest when on your knees.

Im too big for my clothes!!

Haha I love this. I put this outfit on Eli, and well as you see he is already way to long for it. It is supposed to be pants...not shorts :)! Hes a healthy growing boy! Maybe we should have given peas a chance a little sooner :)!!

My First Book...

Every day since we found out that Eli was on his way we have been reading to him out of the Bible. It is my favorite time of day when we read to the little guy. Such sweet family time!!
But tonight we also decided to read him his first book other than the Bible...and I chose Clifford the Big Red Dog! One of the classics!!

Just so cute naked!

I dont know why I bought so many baby clothes, Eli is the most adorable in just a diaper. You just have to admit that big ole belly is about as cute as they come!!

Boonie Hat

It is already so hot here in Arizona...evidenced by all the fires raging through the state. However, I want to get the little guy out and about so we have to find some solution. How could you not choose a boonie hat when Eli looks so darn cute in it?!?!

Baseball Baby

I left Eli at home with Aaron yesterday and this is what I found on the camera when I got home! Boys will be boys!

1 Month Old

Eli

We can hardly believe you are already one month old!! You have already brought so much joy to our lives!! You are not quite sleeping as long as we would like at night, but your daddy is working with you on straightening out your days and nights. The last 2 nights you have actually slept 4 consecutive hours. In our world this is HUGE!! You are starting to really love your pacifier, which helps hold you over longer between feedings. You still love to eat though, and you're taking about 4 oz every 3 hours. You're one quickly growing boy! In fact you were never able to wear the majority of your newborn clothes, and you are getting pretty close to growing out of your 3 month clothes already too. You're just so tall already that its hard to squeeze you into those little outfits! You love taking rides in the car and in your stroller. However, you hate the sun and every time we bring you outside you squint your eyes, throw up your arms, and start to cry. Hopefully we grow out of that phase soon because I know your dad cannot wait to take you swimming! Speaking of your dad, he is your absolute favorite person. No matter what is going on if he is in the room you never take your eyes off of him. He is also the only one who can make you smile!! You also hate getting your picture taken and being left in a room alone. You already figured out how to pull your mommas hair and even held your own bottle the other day! You have grown out of the "stink eye" phase and now open both eyes! This month you have already taken your first trip to a restaurant and the mall. You slept through both but I know you really enjoyed your outings!! We're looking forward to next month and all the new places we'll go and the milestones you will hit. We love you baby boy, Happy 1 Month!!
