Housewife Prayers

For those of you who know me I love me some reality tv, one show in particular is the Housewives of Beverly Hills. Sadly this morning it was reported that the husband of housewife Taylor Armstrong had been found dead in his home there in Beverly Hills. No matter how much money they have or the amount of drama that goes on in their life, news like this is always hard.

It reminds me that the peace that comes in life at a time like this can only be found in Jesus Christ. The truth is that none of us are promised tomorrow, and only through a relationship with Christ are we guaranteed acceptance into Heaven and an Eternity with God. I hope that Armstrong was a believer, and want you to know that today you can have that assurance.

All you have to do is pray to God telling him you know you're a sinner and asking for his forgiveness. Then proclaim that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead (we serve a Lord who is alive and well...amen!!) then you will be saved!!

If you have any questions I would love to talk. And please keep the Armstrong family in your prayers.

He loves his mommy and daddy!!

I am in no hurry for Eli to grow up, but when he does, I cannot wait to decorate his big boy room with school inspired items....I already have the alphabet cards, and some of the locker baskets that are the perfect storage boxes for his closet! (all these items are sold at landofnod.com)

Creative Cups

Last week I referenced Life with the Hawleys and her picnic series and if you havent read it yet you must check it out! Well this weekend while the in laws were in town I decided to use one of her ideas to make some glasses of my own. I bought some simple mason jars, painted on a strip of chalkboard paint and wa la...personalized glasses!! I dont know about you but in our house we're always trying to figure out which cup belongs to which person, and this way you can mark your own cup and have a little fun decorating it as well! No more guessing!!

Cupcake Celebration

We made this dessert to celebrate Baby Eli's 3 Month Birthday!! He loved it :)!!
If you're looking for something new to do for you next party maybe a cupcake alligator is the way to go!! I made 1 batch of cupcakes (24), iced each one in green icing, and went back with a frosting tip to add a little extra texture. Then I took Mike and Ikes yellow candies to make the nails on the 4 feet. (the banana fruit candies would also work great if you can find those!!) Next I took two large marshmallows, covered them in icing, and added a brown m&m on each side to make the eyes. After that I took Hersey bars and broke them into small squares to add the additional texture!!

3 Months

Eli, this month you are striving very hard to grow up on us!! You ooo and goo all day long as you try so hard to talk. And every time we set you in the chair or swing you get upset because you cannot yet sit up on your own. You are 27.5 inches long and are weighing in at 14 pounds. Sadly you no longer coo after sneezing, and that makes me realize just how fast you're growing up, so I am doing my best to videotape EVERYTHING!!! Since about 10 weeks you have been sleeping 8 hours a night and this makes your momma very VERY happy!!! You're quite the flirt, and just cannot be trusted around the ladies. Unfortunately, due to me, you're a huge fan of the tv, and sometimes it just takes turning on Big Brother to calm you down. Maybe one day you'll be a reality tv star!! haha!! You are settling in to more of a schedule with much needed nap times and longer periods of being awake. You still get startled every time someone sneezes, and dont like it at when people laugh at you. You have already figured out that your dad and I are suckers for your sad face, and will let you stay up till midnight if that will make you happy!! You still very much love your car seat and can spend hours in town without a fuss!! Everyone tells us you're the best baby ever and that you have the best complexion around...and you know what...they're right!!! We love you little bubba and are enjoying every moment of our life with you!! Happy 3 Months!

Love this House!!

The Disney show Good Luck Charlie features one of the best homes I have ever seen for real living! I love the tire swing in the front yard and the chalkboard refrigerator!! How sweet and practical!!

I love this blog...

I cannot believe I just found Little Miss Momma this blog is so adorable!! She is so real that I cannot help but love and sympathize with her already!! I totally know how it feels to do whatever it takes to get your little one to sleep, and to speed through your projects during nap time!! I also love that there is a challenge this week to wear a headband every day...how fun!

Right now I am loving this one from Etsy Love Stitched
