Remember "When" sday

In honor of Steve Jobs....

Remember before Ipods came along we used these....

I can remember jamming to my Brandy CD on my discman and how when we would go on family vacations I would have to pack a whole package of double A's to keep the jams rolling! Oh and remember how we used to record our favorite songs off the radio onto cassettes and then pop them into our walkmans? Oh how I miss the days of getting free songs off the radio but the convenience of my ipod is worth paying for every song I have!! Love that thing...thanks Steve Jobs.

Remember "When" sday

Remember Billy Ray Cyrus before he had highlights in his hair and was known for being Miley's dad? Remember when you used to rock Achy Breaky Heart on repeat? Remember when you wanted a mullet...oh wait that was NEVER!!

Side note to last week's remember when...today while I was eating at Chilis I overheard the waitress say that you could buy a slap bracelet to support cancer research. Oh yeah...their on their way back, and this time working for a good cause!!

Remember "When"sday

SLAP BRACELETS!!!!!

Oh my, I can remember when I was in kindergarten and we got paired with 5th graders called "special friends". And my special friend Haley gave me my very first slap bracelet!! I had forgotten all about this fun little accessory until the movie "To Save a Life" came out. In order to promote the film to local teens the marketing company sent us slap bracelets!! How can you not love you a good slap bracelet????!!! Love em!!!

Remember When?

POGS???? It was all the range in the 90s, but apparently started back in the 20s and 30s when it was first played with actual bottle caps, instead of the cardboard pieces we always played with! The rules were simple:

1. Each player contributes an equal number of pogs to build a stack with the pieces facing down.

2. The players take turns throwing their "slammers" (heavy metal, rubber or plastic round pieces) down ontop of the stack making the pogs scatter. Each player gets to keep the pogs that turn face up during their turn.

3. After each round restack the pogs that were left face down from the previous round.

4. When all the pogs are turned over the one who has the most wins.

Oh the good ole days. I hope our son is as easily entertained as we were as children, heres to cheap toys made of cardboard and rubber providing hours of entertainment!!
